bullet

bullet

Long Composition Test Format
bullet

Begins with a Writing Prompt, a brief written presentation of a topic (or issue) including a description of the circumstances requiring individual expression through writing.

bullet

Based on the Writing Prompt, students are expected to prepare a detailed writing sample.

bullet

The first session is intended to be used for idea development and preparation of an outline or first draft while the second session is intended for revision and finalization of the composition, including the application of proper English grammar, diction, syntax, and punctuation.

Reading & Comprehension Test Format
bullet

Presents approximately six to ten reading selections.

bullet

Following each selection, a set of five to seven relevant questions is presented.

bullet

A combination of multiple choice and open response questions comprises each set. Open response questions require the student to compose an original response consisting of multiple sentences.
