Work the Multiple Choice questions before tackling the Open Response questions. Multiple Choice questions account for more than 60% of the test's total points and they are far less time consuming than the Open Response questions.

Always show all of your work and present it clearly when attending to the Open Response questions. Even if you do not answer the question correctly, you will earn partial credit if you demonstrate accurate knowledge of one or more relevant concepts or principles.

Spend most of your study time on the three science strands. The questions associated with these strands often require specific knowledge taught in school. In contrast, nearly all of the questions included in the Technology/Engineering strand can be answered using everyday knowledge and common sense.
