The MCAS-Pass Learning Lab provides four types of
learning tools:
|
| 1. |
Baseline Assessment Test
|
| |
This test is the first step in every program of study. Students take the test,
their performance is analyzed, and a recommended and customized program of
instruction is generated.
|
 |
| 2. |
Baseline Assessment Review |
| |
This is an optional module providing students with the opportunity to review the
Baseline Assessment Test. It reviews the test, identifies the correct answers,
and offers explanations of how the correct answer may be determined. It
provides an excellent and inexpensive demonstration of the quality of
instruction available from the Tutorial Modules.
|
 |
| 3. |
Tutorial Modules |
| |
These provide intensive and interactive instruction for a specific knowledge
area or "strand." Students must complete at least one Tutorial Module before
they may purchase a Practice Test Module.
|
 |
| 4. |
Practice Test Modules |
| |
These are simulated on-line MCAS tests providing students with feedback on
their progress toward subject mastery. In addition to this feedback, students
receive an updated recommendation for their customized program of instruction
as well as the opportunity to review the test with correct answers and
explanations provided. After completing the first Practice Test Module,
students must complete at least one additional Tutorial Module prior to
purchasing another Practice Test Module.
